Monsoon

by KLAUS WIESE

supported by
fritz_gruber
fritz_gruber thumbnail
fritz_gruber soothing, mesmerising and powerful Meditative-Ambient-Bliss by one of the true giants of this artform. Beautifully warm - healing - and extensive dark singing bowl drones from Klaus Wiese are the cure for the lost, atomized and tortured souls which are damned to live in these practically dead end times of total spiritual and cultural decline in this ugly modern world which is - in real time - tumbling and fading into well deserved oblivion. KW was much more than a musician.

Caesar His philosophy of life was very close to that of the Popol Vuh. In later years, he travelled extensively in Iran, Afghanistan and India and studied Sufism in depth. His output is very large indeed and encompasses many albums that were often not even published and that, for a time, only circulated in cassette format. Wiese was a pioneer of the drone-ambient subgenre and musicians such as Alio Die, Mathias Grassow, Oöphoi.

  • Klaus Wiese is truly the ambient mastermind, surpassing both 'soft' ambient masters (e.g. Brian Eno) and 'harsh' ones. His aim is neither to just accompany your activities as background sound nor to oppress you into a world of desolation and negativity. No, his purpose transcends modern hecticism and its pathologies and is instead oriented towards the Sublime, the Absolute, the Principle (according to Coomaraswamy's metaphysics). Low key, organic, perennial ambient, a spiritual oasis amidst modernity's onslaught.

about

ALIO DIE Italy

Since the late 80s, Stefano Musso has recorded deep, evocative experimental ambient & electro-acoustic soundscapes under the name Alio Die.
His music is a shadowy, cavernous, intensely detailed fusion of acoustical elements, step-and-repeat sample treatments, sparse, echoing percussion, and deep, atmospheric sound design, textural passages..by the music's vague, entropic formlessness.
